carnival culture: one love, one aim, one destiny

My pops asked me to shoot some footage of him and his peers (the springfield carnival association) putting together their 10th annual caribbean carnival. Along the way, we got to talking about culture, food, and jamaica. This is what came out of it….

I got a chance to go to my first Roots picnic this year thanks to Gina Paige and African Ancestry, who had traced Black Thought’s Ancestry and were going to reveal his results at the event. We weren’t able to film the reveal but had a great time, nonetheless….see the images below
